Rad Rodgers review

This 90s-style 2D side scrolling platformer with a raunchy sense of humor!

STORY: A young boy named Rad falls asleep while playing video games. Suddenly, he gets sucked into the TV where he meets Dusty, a dirty-mouthed machine of sorts, and finds out he has to save the humorous ‘90s-styled world.

GOOD:

  • Excellent level design full of colorful paths, hidden areas & lots of collectibles

  • Raunchy, adult humor that will sometimes have you saying, “Did they just say that!?”; followed by numerous references to classic 90s era games

  • And all those dirty jokes are told with fun voice-overs

  • Good length & difficulty spikes for the game’s style

SO-SO:

  • The aim button really helps! If only they’d tell you it exists in the beginning instead of having to figure it out yourself halfway through

BAD:

  • Glitches and bugs galore beyond world 6

  • After the first few worlds, the game starts becoming a bit predictable (but still fun!)

Overall, Rad Rodgers is a surprisingly rad game (pun intended)! It hosts some great levels and humor, and while staying fun and challenging throughout.
